Indie MEGABOOTH brings thought-provoking, unique games to new audiences and creates safe, welcoming environments for small, diverse teams entering the games industry in showcases at large scale industry events. Beyond in-person events, IMB curates a robust network for developers and communities to support each other, connecting teams with fans, publishers, and platform holders in mutually beneficial partnerships. Developers find exposure at IMB events and make connections through special alumni community channels, social networks, and other platforms with industry veterans and new studios.

Starting in 2012 with a 16-developer showcase, Indie MEGABOOTH has since hosted:

  • 33 Industry Showcases
  • 804 Companies and Artists
  • 975 Unique Games
  • from 36 Countries

Many acclaimed games have showcased with Indie MEGABOOTH before their launch, including:

  • Celeste
  • Don’t Starve
  • Disco Elysium
  • Crypt of the Necrodancer
  • What the Golf?
  • Spiritfarer
  • Papers, Please

On May 15, 2020, Indie MEGABOOTH announced its “IMB Going Away (for now),” including a Steam Sale featuring over 150 games from its alumni community. Primarily hosting events in-person, the organization was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On June 8, 2023, Indie MEGABOOTH announced its return to operations as “Indie MEGABOOTH 2.0” live at Summer Game Fest / Day of the Devs 2023, and is currently preparing to announce its next public appearance.
