about Cleaversoft

Cleaversoft is an independent game studio based outside of Philadelphia. Rich Siegel founded the company in 2008 in his home apartment, working part time on mobile apps. In Feb. 2012, he started assembling an amazing team of developers and artists and began the journey that would become EarthNight. Paul Davey, a.k.a. Mattahan, is Cleaversoft’s art department; his hand-painted masterpieces have a unique fantastical quality to them that blows away everyone who sees them. Paul Weinstein, a.k.a. Chipocrite, is hailed as one of the best chiptune artists in the world; his multifaceted but catchy soundtrack work combines the nostalgic game sounds of his childhood with modern music influences.

EarthNight is a hand-painted runner/platformer that takes place in a dystopian future just after the dragon apocalypse. The game features beautiful graphics by artist Mattahan coupled with a virtually endless variety of hand-designed, procedurally generated levels. Humans have been exiled to space with no government or military to speak of. Sydney and Stanley have decided to skydive back to Earth to set things right, taking down as many dragons as they can along the way. Each run begins in space; the player must traverse eight beautifully painted layers of the atmosphere, alternating between skydiving and running on the backs of dragons. Unlike other runner games, there is an end — the planet’s surface is the final world. It’s easy to learn the basic mechanics, but the game is difficult to master. It takes time and dedication to develop the skills to reach EarthNight — your path will always be different and riddled with danger.
