Description
The Indie MEGABOOTH is a collection of independent game developers all banding together to bring you the latest and greatest indie games at PAX. With 5,400 square feet, 50 companies and over 60 games there is literally no way you will leave without finding your new favorite game. Seriously. That's what we in the industry call a 'metric crap ton' of games. And not just any games! These games are interesting and innovative and other buzz words as well. We have mobile, PC, console and probably some platforms you haven't even heard of before. How's that for ground level access? Brag to your friends, put on your hipster pants and come check us out!History
Over a year ago Fire Chief Eitan Glinert had the bright idea that indies should work together at PAX to set themselves up against the big guys. Kelly Wallick then took on the challenge of logistics (ie cat herding) and together they brought 16 studios into one space and formed the very first Indie MEGABOOTH at PAX East 2012. We had stars in our eyes. Or maybe it was just some dust. You get the point. We had successfully planted ourselves in the middle of the AAA companies and still looked good doing it. For PAX Prime we doubled our numbers and now for PAX East 2013 we've expanded to 50 developers and over 60 games. At this rate you can prepare for global domination by 2020. You're welcome.

Selected Articles
- "The Megabooth exists in large part because its participants are willing to come together in a series of acts that are more than pure self-interest."
- Dave Tach, Polygon - "Stepping onto the PAX Prime 2012 show floor, you’re immediately greeted with the huge, elaborately lit booths of major video game publishers like Microsoft and Sony. These spectacles cram huge statues and loud music in your face to promote their multi-million dollar, AAA titles. But tucked away just beyond the glitz and glamour is the Indie Mega Booth. What these booths lack in attention-grabbing gravitas, they more than make up for in originality and charm."
- Tim Turi, Game Informer - "Megabooth has since doubled its size, further exemplifying a strength in numbers while attempting to offer the most variety of games per square foot at PAX."
